NASA Kennedy Space Center Library

SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS

The KSC Library's Documents, Specifications, and Standards Department collection consists of KSC, NASA, DOD, other U.S. Government, international, and industrial and society specifications and standards in print and electronic formats.

Copyrighted specifications and standards in hard copy are mostly non-circulating, and due to copyright restrictions, the library staff cannot make copies of them. However, the NASA Technical Standards Program website provides access to over 3,500 standards from more than 100 standards developing organizations (SDOs), including NASA and KSC. Many of the standards are available full text and others may be ordered at no cost to NASA users. This NASA website also provides integrated lessons learned, application notes, and a standards update notification system (SUNS). Users are required to register and their computers must be in the nasa.gov domain.

For the most up-to-date information about KSC specifications and standards and access to full text of active KSC specifications and Standards, use the electronic version of KSC-GP-364 Index of Kennedy Space Center Specifications and Standards Title List, KSC-GP-364 Index of Kennedy Space Center Specifications and Standards Numeric List, or NASA Technical Standards Program website. Paper copies of current and obsolete KSC specifications and standards are available from the Documents, Specifications and Standards Department, as are printed copies of the index, which is updated annually.
